In early 1912, characters with names like Dutch, Jimmy the Push, and Scotty the Lamb joined with co-conspirators to steal $25,000 ($590,696.97 in 2014 dollars) during a bank transfer. Amazingly to us today, the transfer was done in the taxicab of Geno Montani. The police, one of them a famous former Pinkerton man, were on the hunt.
